Course description:

Review of physics of optoelectronic devices including heterostructures, quantum processes for optical absorption,  emission and refraction, and junction theory.

Light emitting diodes.

Semiconductor optical detectors.

Optical modulators.

Laser diodes.

Photonic switches.

Solar cells.

Note:This is a self-contained course. No prerequiste is necessary.
